Each fabulous, short-championing statement in the book is accompanied by a cute illustration. This is a funny and perceptive insight in to what it’s like to be below average height. You’ll find yourself chuckling (“You are amazing at Limbo”), nodding in agreement (“No heels are too high”) and grinning with satisfaction (“Kid’s clothes: expanding options while saving money”).
The overall effect is one of empowerment. If you ever start to doubt how wonderful being short is, all you have to do is open this book. “If nothing else, you’ll finally have a handy list of retaliations the next time an average bystander says “You’re so small I could just put you in my pocket”.
I’d Rather Be Short is a must read for any petite lady. It is a wry and optimistic book and encourages us all to stand tall…. No matter what our height!
